When something goes wrong in your home, who do you go to for advice on how to handle the situation? For most of us the answer would be the name of a close friend or relative. These are the people we know well and love and we know that they truly have our best interests at heart. We take their recommendations into consideration and usually go with what they suggest especially when we are entering uncharted territory. For example, the first time your heating, cooling, or water heating went out, you may not have had a clue who to trust. Friends and family members can make their recommendations but in the end you are really only getting the perspective of one person’s opinion of a company.
Consumer Review Websites
Unfortunately, one person’s opinion isn’t enough to form an educated decision on who to trust with your home’s heating and cooling. Every company claims to be “the best” so taking their word for it is no good either. What you need are real consumer reviews that can’t be faked or made up. This is when people turn to consumer review sites on the internet. Based on the rating there, the consumer receives a better picture of how a company handles a service call and how they handle a problem if it should arise. (more…)

There are many definitions of the word “quality.” The word itself has eight dictionary definitions and can be used in the contest of a number of different situations. The definitions of the word include phrases such as “degree of excellence” and “superiority in kind”. This is exactly how Four Seasons would define quality as we strive to provide every customer with a “quality” experience.
Defining True Quality
Potential customers of our products and services, or anybodies products and services for that matter, expect to hear self promotion of this kind. It would be absurd for any company to advertise that they are proud to provide you with low quality service and a sub par product. So how can any potential customer really know where the real quality lies? That answer is found in looking beyond the product, beyond the first service date or installation date, and beyond the price. True quality comes with the events that occur after you have made a selection and chosen who you will do business with. (more…)

The Chicago Auto Show is a long standing tradition here in this great city, and thousands upon thousands of us go to see the show religiously every single year. This year, there will be a new addition to the auto show: the Four Seasons service vehicle. Our Ford Transits have gotten a lot of recognition around the city of Chicago for their bold design, and Ford has asked us to display one of our vehicles amongst their exhibit in the show. This is an honor we would never refuse, and for those of you attending the auto show this year, you can check out our service trucks and speak to our sales team all while enjoying the festivities of the day.
Stress Free Environment to Get Your HVAC Questions Answered
If you go to the auto show this year, take some time to talk to one of our salesmen in a stress free, no pressure, and no obligation environment. You can ask questions about what we have to offer, and what kind of deals we have going without feeling like you are committing to anything. In the event that you decide to have a technician come to your home for a free in-home estimate, they can help you set that up right there and then. Four Seasons salesmen do not practice high pressure sales tactics and they are there to talk about anything from cars to furnaces to discounts on our services. Four Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning has been called into countless homes that all have the same problem: uneven temperatures from room to room. For many of these homes, the problem can be traced back to an ancient boiler that has needed replacement for years. Some homeowners that have these old boilers want to get rid of them and upgrade to a high efficiency forced air furnace. However, the lack of duct work in the home is a major problem. Adding duct work requires extensive construction within the home, and the disturbance alone is enough to make you think twice about the replacement. Flexible duct work is one, not so attractive, option, but luckily, Four Seasons has another affordable and efficient system that could solve both of your problems.
Customizable Comfort
A Mitsubishi Electric individual room heating and cooling unit from Four Seasons is the answer! These units work by using one centralized condenser to power individual heating and cooling units that are located in the rooms of the home. Each unit can be controlled individually. This allows you to customize the temperature in each room and achieve maximum comfort with ease. These systems are easy to install and will not disturb the structure of the home the way that installing duct work will because they do not use ducts! These wall mounted systems are extremely quiet and energy efficient. As an added bonus they can also help improve the home’s indoor air quality! Each system doubles as a filtration system, and each filter is easy to clean and can last up to ten years! (more…)

When you are looking for a new heating and cooling system or any HVAC services for that matter, choosing a heating and air conditioning company to rely on can seem like an overwhelming task. Flipping through the phone book alone will show you the vast number of companies out there to choose from, and not all of them are good. You can’t just choose anyone but the task alone will make you want to choose whoever you come across first. This could cost you hundreds if you make the wrong choice. Instead, ask yourself what you are looking for in your HVAC company.
Ask Yourself:
- Does the Company have Award Winning Customer Service?: Four Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning has received several awards for our customer service ethic. For the second year in a row we recently received the Dave Lennox Award, and for the seventh year in a row we have been awarded a special service award from a leading consumer review website. When you treat your customers with the respect they deserve it is noticed, and you can benefit from this type of service as well when you choose Four Seasons.
- Is the Company Top Rated with the BBB?: The Better Business Bureau investigates complaints made by consumers about various companies. They also look into potential scams that certain companies may be running. Based on what they find, they hand out report card- like ratings. Four Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning carries the highest rating that the BBB has to offer: an A+. (more…)

As Americans, we inherently have busy lives full of things to remember on a day to day basis. Maintaining the heating and cooling system may not be a task that needs to be completed every day, but for most, checking the furnace’s filter just once a month is still too much of a task to remember. In order to make sure things continue to work properly, many homeowners will invest in fancy filters that can last for multiple months, so that they don’t have to remember to change the filter every 30 days. However, some of these homeowners are finding that despite the manufacturer’s claims that the filter should last 3 months or longer, the filter still needs changing every 30 days. Before you blame the manufacturer, take a moment to consider that the problem might not be your filter; it might be your HVAC system and the air quality in your home!
Finding the Source of Air Quality Problems
It is recommended that once you replace your filter or upgrade to a new type of filter you check it every 30 days to make sure that it is able to handle to air quality in the home. For some, 30 days comes and the filter that is made to last 3-6 months is still in good conditioner. For others, the filter already needs to be changed. The problem lies within the home’s air quality. You may have animals or other factors that are contributing to the dirty air in the home or you may just have filthy ducts. As the furnace circulates air through them, debris is picked up and caught by the filter. When this debris is excessive, it can waste a filter in 30 days or less. (more…)
