Decibel Ratings and Your Air Conditioner | La Grange, Lynwood

Is your air conditioner disturbing the peace in your backyard? If your air conditioner has a noisy condenser then you know what I’m talking about. Old inefficient air conditioners had little technology in the way of reducing noise generated while the system was operating. As our units get older, they tend to get louder, and at some point this system will have to be replaced. Most homeowners focus on energy efficiency and cost when they are looking for a new unit. This is a smart place to start, but when it comes down to it, there is so much more to consider! At Four Seasons, we try to give our customers a complete picture of what one of our Lennox systems is like when in operation and when it comes to a Lennox system, noise reduction is a major benefit.

A Perfectly Peaceful Backyard

When it comes to Lennox home comfort systems, noise reduction is their forte. Systems like the XC21, the XC17, and the XC14 all come beefed up with noise reducing technology. When they made these systems, the goal was to contain the noise within the air conditioning condenser. They did this by insulating the cabinet and creating what they call Silent Comfort technology and applying it to the fan and grill in the condenser. As the air conditioners super quiet fan blow off heat through the top of the condenser, the grill muffles the noise producing an air conditioner with a decibel rating as low as 69! The air conditioner you have right now is probably somewhere near 13 times louder than this system! That is silence that you can’t find in just any air conditioning system, but you can get it at Four Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning.
