When my furnace starts up, it shuts down and trys to start again, it does this 3 times and then the furnace turns off and its not heating my home. What could cause this and can this furnace be repaired?

We purchased an energy star thermostat from Four Seasons Heating for our office building and saved over $2000 in one year. We had a memo that told all employees to turn the furnace down to 62 when they leave and of course they would forget. When we would come into the office on Monday the furnace thermostat would still be on 72 and the furnace would have run all weekend. The way we do it now is to lock all the new energy star thermostats we purchased and program them to turn up and down automatically this save us so much money on our gas bill.
@Dave
Any model that says energy star on it is great.
@XV
Press the hold button and this will keep the furnace temp from changing and set the switch on electric if the furnace is electric, gas for gas.
