Mold can form quickly and spread very fast!
There are many different types of mold and some are very dangerous. Bathrooms, crawlspaces and attics are the most common places for mold. High amounts of humidity as well as leaking roofs, drain pipes, crawlspaces, bathroom showers, etc. are all potential sources for mold growth.
Mold can cause allergic reactions, asthma attacks and other respiratory issues. You can help prevent mold growth by using dehumidifiers, fans that help circulate the air and by drying an area in a timely manner should water or moisture be present. It is very important to clean and dry the area in the first 24 – 48 hours.
If you have severe mold growth in your home contact a professional to help. All homes have mold spores and it’s impossible to get rid of all mold spores. But you can help trap them by installing a MERV 16 Air Filtration System on your home furnace.
Manufacturers such a Lennox make the best air cleaners for total home air purification as they work with your Furnace and air conditioning systems.
Four Seasons Heating can install any air cleaner on any and all models of furnaces.

Does mold grow quickly around Chicago or does it need a certain type of weather? Here in Chicago no matter what town you live around the weather is crazy it can change very quick. The people I have talked to have not seen much mold growth around Chicago. I can’t seem to find too many people around town that can tell me much about mold and our home furnace. I want to replace our furnace with a new high efficient furnace that saves money on gas. Which furnace is the best and how much should I pay for a furnace and do prices vary much around Chicago.
Mike, please call us at 708-444-1111 and we can set up a free in home estimate for the cost of a replacement furnace. There are multiple rebate programs and a tax stimilus program that we can review with you.
