As summer inches closer, so does the air conditioning season. For many, all that this means is that it is time to schedule their yearly tune up with Four Seasons, for others there are bigger problems at hand. What Happened to R22?
R22 refrigerant is damaging the ozone layer that protects our planet, and because of this fact, it has been banned from production. When Four Seasons went to purchase our R22 for the season, we found that it was nearly double the cost that we paid in previous years. The Importance of a Clean A/C Coil

Instead of transferring cold to air in the home, the air conditioner removes heat from the air and then circulates the cooled down air to the target areas of the home. The coil contains refrigerant that is designed to absorb the heat from the air in the home as it passes over the coils. Gaining Control of the Humidity in Your Home
The dry winter months and hot circulating air within the home will dry up all of the moisture within the wood. The summer months and high humidity will cause the wood to swell. The result will be squeaks that are far more audible during the winter months, and silenced during the summer. Over time this will cause warping of the wood and no matter what you do, there will be noisy creaks all year round. The optimum temperature and humidity ranges for the home are from 60 to 80 degrees and from 35 to 55 % humidity.
