Temperature Differentials
If the temperature swing in your home is caused by the thermostat the problem can usually be solved by adjusting the differential. The differential is a setting that allows the temperature to vary between one and three degrees in either direction of the temperature you have set. For example, you set the thermostat at 70 degrees. So you would expect the furnace to kick on when the temperature drops below 70 and turn off when the temperature once again hits 70 degrees. (more…)
