This ground breaking legislation has gives energy tax credits to consumers who purchase High Efficiency heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment to qualify for a direct tax credit of up to $1500.

Qualifying equipment includes:

Air Source Heat Pumps with a minimum SEER of 12.5 and SEER of 15.0

Central Air Conditioning with a minimum SEER of 13.0 and SEER of 16.0

Gas, Propane, or Oil Hot Water Boiler AFUE greater then 90%

Natural Gas or Propane Furnace AFUE greater then 95%

Oil Furnaces AFUE greater then 90%Existing homes and new construction qualify.  Both principal residences and second homes qualify, rental properties do not qualify for the energy tax credit of up to $1500. These tax credits are available through 2010.
